I tested the backpack today on a smaller round (8-10) in torrential rain! The raincover kept the backpack dry! I had 5-6 kg loaded in my backpack for testing, it was comfortable to wear but at 9-11 kg it gets dry because the straps are slightly padded! I find the closure a bit annoying to close!

Lots of storage space for my partner’s & mine change of clothing, waterproofs food & snacks. Side bottle holders are very handy. lots of different pockets to store all kinds of gear. Handy pockets on the front to put my mobile phone & battery pack charger. Nice touch having the H2O opening. No water pouch provided. Really comfortable to hike in all day. Great snug fit & the mesh back prevents sweating. Hiked out in heavy rain for around an hour & no water penetration, kept everything dry. I would rate the bag 9.5 only thing letting it down is that it didn’t come with a rain cover for several hours hiking in heavy rain. We have several Passenger items, bum bags, hats and clothing, we are a fan of this Company. 👏

(Pros) My favourite thing is the conveniently placed pockets – I want them on ALL the straps when I'm hiking, to avoid having to take it off as much as possible, and this bag has just that. The padding/support is great and it has all the necessary adjustments to fit your back properly. Good number of click straps around the bag so loading extra stuff on the outside is easy (although some on top wouldn't go amiss). The raincover stored underneath is a nice touch. Overall, very happy with this bag.
(Cons) 1. I'm small and need tighter support straps. I have the waist and top chest ones at their tightest, but need them even tighter as I take layers off; 2. A side or lower access zip would be a god send; 3. Not a biggie, but would love more vibrant colour options (why is hiking gear so plain?).

Great 30 L backpack. fits everything I need for a day out including my inflatable lounger, lunch, drinks, picnic blanket, toweks etc. Nice zipped pockets for storing bits, air flows well up your back while wearing, feels good quality. Super happy with my purchase.
