Measure around the narrowest point basically just above your naval keeping the tape slightly loose.
Hips
Measure the widest part of your hip. Make sure you keep your feet together when measuring.

The quality is amazing but it comes up so big. I have other Passenger fleeces and clothes and usually get a small (even for fleeces). This Small was almost the right size for my 6ft husband. I also think the green shoulder bits are too bit and on a small person (5'5) they make the jacket look a bit silly... otherwise, I really love it and its so cosy
